June 28, 2010The most notable feature in the newer version is a more natural listbox display for word suggestions providing a view of all available suggestions. Many options are available for customizing the appearance of the listbox and word suggestions such as font size.
A problem that made word completion difficult during usual typing was solved. The program no longer changes the case of typed words unless the user opted to faithfully reproduce the word inside the word list. In addition, it is now able to configure the program to output a space after each word completion.
It is now possible to specify when TypingAid should be enabled by giving a list of included and excluded windows.
Unfortunately, Unicode and accented character support are not available in this version. Please use the older versions if you need those. We hope the support will be made available again in future.
February 17, 2010TypingAid updated - version 2.09 This is the major stable release of the TypingAid 2.x version. New features and changes include:
All features of 1.x are preserved, there will be some limitations associated with some settings which will not be noticeable on first use. Because it is a new release and although it has undergone an extended period of testing, potential bugs are still inevitable. You are recommended to upgrade if the new features will benefit you. 1.x version is still a good autocompletion utility with the essential features and it rocks.
February 7, 2010TypingAid updated - version 1.3 This is the last update of the TypingAid 1.x version. The next release will be 2.x version which is very different from 1.x version. Should you feel 1.x version is more suitable for your use, please download and use 1.3
January 5, 2010TypingAid updated - version 1.2
Support for languages that use unicode character set will have to be deferred till AutoHotKey implements the support. Meanwhile, BlitzType is being developed with this concern in mind.
December 30, 2009BlitzType Beta 0.9 released
December 22, 2009Our team is overwhelmed by the feedback and suggestions received. Thank you all. Actually, we are pretty occupied with our R&D project which is our full-time job. Our original intention to release TypingAid was to demonstrate the advantage of autocompletion. We weren't thinking about maintaining it except for fixing the most critical bugs. Since TypingAid has received so much attention, I posted on the original TypingAid thread at AutoHotKey forum: Intellisense-like autoreplacement with multiple suggestions
If you have a suggestion, do send it to me and I will convey to them. If more and more feedback are received, I think I will take some donations. Donation is always a good incentive for free program authors to put more effort into improving it. Let me know your opinion about this.
December 18, 2009Version 1.1 TypingAid now recognizes characters with tréma, e.g. ö in Swedish, Turkish, Finnish and German. The side-effect is that for English users, the program cannot recognize words after a quotation mark "words... If you need to autocomplete a word after a quotation mark, first type two quotation marks "" then press left and type the words in the middle.
November 16, 2009Modified version: Reverse Boss Key, Apps key changed to Right Alt.
November 9, 2009Boss Key program for productive and unproductive use in office released. |
