There are tools to use to edit and create technical text, but sometimes extra help is needed and there are some tools out there which are not as known as the most famous ones, but are very useful and can be perfect complement to our text editor or any other authoring software we may use. Some examples are:

SnagitSnagit: This is a software for taking screenshots, which is really useful if we are to take them in order to add to our text writings. Taking screenshot is common, besides that, it has very good features and editing functions for the screenshots. Check it out and you will see.

Google DesktopGoogle Desktop (free): The search function that comes with Windows is fine, but it is very slow if you need to search through a new hard drives of more than 1Tb. It is not a secret that Google is probably the best search engine out there, and now it is available offline to index our files and then make really fast searches. Use the power of Google in your computer and you will feel the difference, especially if you have a lot of data on your disk.

VisioVisio: There are a lot of drawing software, but this one is mainly focused for technical and business drawings. By this, it means that it is perfect to create calendars, graphs, diagrams, design, directional maps, flowcharts, database models… basically all you need for your business and technical documents.
